Rugby 7S Returns to London this Friday with a Bonanza 50 teams

Fifty universities will go down to Richmond on this Friday because Rugby Sevens continues its resurrection in the capital.

After Square Mile enjoying the London City 7s – won by Harlequins at HAC this spring – University Celestial 7s will take place at Richmond Athletic Ground on Friday.

“We talked about nearly 1,000 most talented men and women in the UK. One place. One day. You will not find something like anywhere else,” said the organizer Joe Byrnes AM City.

People like Exeter, Bath, Durham, Nottingham and Edinburgh are confirmed for the tournament which starts at 11 am and ended at 10 pm.

Last year’s event, at Rosslyn Park and attended by AM CitySeeing the players continue to be closed by the Great British Sevens Team.

London has been in the seven drought since the Rugby series approved by the world raised the stick and left Twickenham for the new grasslands.

But the format remains popular in London and this new HAC program proves that, attract thousands of city trading encouragement on Thursday.

Byrnes want to achieve the same thing at this week’s event, with tickets available at www.celestial7s.com, while Rosslyn Park National Schools 7s remains popular.

7S Premiership Warming

“You only need to see the final premiership between Bath and Leicester the following day to see the influence of the Union of Rugby and this tournament,” the commentator added.

“Bath’s Will Muir is found here, while Leicester’s Freddie Steward is playing Bucs [university rugby] Rugby for Loughborough only a few years ago.
