The owner of the Southampton FC Billionaire Dragan Solak has increased legal battles with private equity funds based in London, BC Partners, which he said owes to him and his business partner £ 170 million.
Solok has asked the Dutch authority to investigate what he calls the “serious crisis of governance” in the United Group, the telecommunications business and the media that he founded but now the majority are owned by BC Mitra.
He and CEO Victoriya Boklag were suddenly fired last week in what he believed to be an act of revenge for suing a parent company owned by Mitra Summer at the High Court of Non-Payment € 200 million (£ 171 million in the bonuses he said because of Serbia.
“The unilateral decision of BC Partners to force new leadership, suddenly and without notice to staff or shareholders, in very complex businesses operating in various jurisdictions violates Dutch law and places the future and value of the United group in danger,” he said.
“We have a reasonable doubt whether the newly designated management will be able to run the United Group for the benefit of all stakeholders and produce results similar to us.
“We will monitor the performance of the new management team very closely and will fight for our rights and preserve our equity value.”

Salak has been the majority owner of Southampton since January 2022, through the Republic of Multi-Club vehicle sports, which also has Goztepe in Türkiye and Valenciennes in France.
He and the remaining management previously still had large minority shares in the United Group, headquartered in the Netherlands and last year reported € 2.8 billion.
“The behavior of BC partners indicates total neglect to the achievement and rights of the management team which has more than 42 percent of the business,” Solok added.
“Their action in connection with the United Group shows the financial markets, investment communities and business founders around the world that BC Partners are companies that are willing to use all possible means to overthrow the founder’s partners to risk everything for higher profits.”
BC Partners have not submitted a defense of the Claim of the High Court for the Unpaid Bonus, which was submitted in April. Mitra BC is approached to comment.
Last week the 60 -year -old player reiterated his commitment to Southampton after their relegation from the Premier League at the end of last season.
