Easyjet will look for any guidelines about the impact of the new French air traffic control attack attack when updated on Thursday after revealing hundreds of flights must be canceled.
The group joined the Ryanair budget rival in eroding flights to and from France for two days in July due to industrial action, with flights in France to destinations such as Britain, Greece, Spain and Ireland.
Tens of thousands of customers see their travel plans disrupted by the strike two days on 3 and 4 July, with Easyjet cancel 274 flights, while Ryanair canceled 170, affecting more than 30,000 passengers with Irish operators alone.
The third quarter of Easyjet based in Luton will be monitored for each estimated financial blow from the disorder.
The operator package vacation business is expected to be a prominent player once again in the quarter to the end of June, after the division gives a 42 percent leap that is impressive in pre-tax profits to £ 44 million in the first round.
The airline business must cut prices to help increase airline demand and offset the increase in costs in the first round and the city will watch to see whether it still happens when the summer begins.
Aarin Chiekrie, an equity analyst at Hargreaves Lansdown, said: “Easyjet did a good job to foster his fleet while maintaining costs under control.
“But there is a little softness in the price in the second quarter, so the market wants to hear if it is taken back during the third quarter.
“The market seems to be quite confident that this will happen, and a full-year-shared ear profit guide of £ 703 million must be within reach.”
Easyjet reported pre-departed losses widening of £ 394 million for six months until the end of March, compared to the loss of £ 350 million years before.
But the company said that at that time it was a “slight increase” of around £ 50 million when the next time this year was calculated.
Seasonal demand for air travel means airlines often record losses in winter followed by profits in the summer.
Michael Hewson on MCH Market Insights said: “To erase the loss of the first half, Easyjet needs to see a solid advantage here, without having to ignore.”
