Government to hand over £ 500 million to sports events, the athletic world may be left behind

The government will support large British events such as 2028 Euros and 2027 Tour de France depart to £ 500 million, but do not openly support the world athletic championship.

World Athletics Championship Scuppered?

Athletes and organizations have lobbied the government to provide the funds needed with the deadline for their offer in September to ensure the British can apply for their requests. Even London Mayor Sadiq Khan suggested that athletics meeting at the London Stadium could be a good jump for the potential of the 2040 London Olympics.
