Two thirds of fantasy soccer fans using AI for FPL

When the Premier League returns, AM City Can reveal that the use of AI is increasing in fantasy soccer matches.

Fantasy Premier League and other virtual games will see millions of fans looking for competitive advantage compared to their colleagues throughout the season.

And new research by Virgin Media O2, distributed exclusively with City AM, revealed that two thirds of fantasy soccer players will use AI throughout the season to benefit in the race to win the title.

Among those aged 25-34 years jumped to nearly 80 percent, while less than 40 percent of those who were more than 65 said they would even try AI.

While the AI algorithm cannot help fans predict who will have a good game on certain matches, artificial intelligence can be useful in assessing trends based on the previous match and season.

Jeanie York, Chief Technology Officer at Virgin Media O2, said: “Fantasy soccer is no longer about intestinal instincts, because many players use AI to make smarter and faster decisions when they come to their team.

“We have seen the data fully changed many sports, such as baseball and formula 1, so it is not surprising to see fantasy soccer players using it to get advantages. This is another brilliant example of how digital habits develop and why we improve our network to compensate.”

By placing a prompt to Gemini, Loggle AI software can offer a strategy where to spend the most money and what formation will give success.

After being pushed, producing a team consisting of: Nottingham Forest Matz Sels in the goal, Virgil van Dijk from Liverpool, Ezri hosted from Villa and Maxime Esteve from Burnley in defense.

It chose Liverpool Mohamed Salah and Florian Wirtz, Cole Palmer from Chelsea and Elliot Anderson from Newcastle in midfield.

In front of he used the Erling Haaland trio from Manchester City, Ollie Watkins from Villa and Joao Pedro from Chelsea.
