MCMURDOCK MCMURDOCK reform parliament has suspended himself as the head of the whip after the Sunday Times investigation of the misuse of the COVID-19 government loan.

McMurdock, who has represented South Basildon and East Thrrock since the general election last July, was allegedly borrowed tens of thousands of pounds under the government bounty loan scheme, according to the Sunday Times investigation.

In a statement published on the X Reform account on Saturday afternoon, Member of the Reform Parliament Lee Anderson said: “I received a call today from James McMurdock who had advised me, as the head of the whip, that he had removed the whip of the party from himself while waiting for the results of an investigation of the accusations that were likely to be issued by national newspapers.”

Anderson said that McMurdock had “agreed to work together with any investigation”.

The Sunday Times accused that McMurdock of borrowing a loan of £ 70,000 from two companies, both of which did not submit an annual company account or submission to the Companies House.

The first company, Financial Limited clock, less than employees, while Gym Live Health and Fitness Limited was not active until 31 January 2020.

The British business meets the loan requirements of up to £ 50,000 during Pandemi, even though the loan is limited to the company with an annual turnover of at least £ 200,000.

McMurdock also seems to have violated parliamentary rules by failing to express its relationship with the health and fitness of the gym in the list of interests.

Parliamentary rules require members of parliament to register “significant and formal roles that are not paid such as unpaid director, company director who is currently not trading, or trustees”.

Reform will launch your own investigation to loans, according to the Sunday Times.

AM City has approached the reform and James McMurdock to comment.
