The Head of the British Criket was re -elected until 2028

Richard Thompson will remain the chairman of the British Cricket Council and Wales (ECB) until 2028 after winning the second term.

He was originally appointed for a five -year term in 2022 but ECB members since then chose to reduce the requirements to three years, with seats able to serve a maximum of two terms in that role.

“I am honored to continue to serve the game that I really care about,” Thompson said.

“Whether it increases participation and destroys obstacles or supports our professional games and the English team, I will continue to work together with our stakeholders to provide true games -true to reflect and inspire our community.

“I thank the council for their confidence and to all people throughout the cricket family for their sustainable support.”
